Stanley D. Wetter, age 85 of Boscobel, passed away on Sunday June 10, 2018 at his home in Boscobel, surrounded by his loving family.   He was born on March 9, 1933 in Marion, Township, Grant County, Wisconsin.  The son of Jacob and Gertrude (Rice) Wetter. He married Marlene V. Wayne on December 1, 1955 in Elkader Iowa.  She preceded him in death on February 24, 2018. Stanley farmed most of his life.  He was a Army Veteran.  He is survived by three sons; Stanley E. "Butch" Wetter of Boscobel , Bryan Wetter of Boscobel, Jeffrey (Nancy) Wetter of Benton. 13 Grandchildren 23 Great-Grandchildren. A daughter in law Laurie Mindham of Mt. Zion. Two brothers, Eldon (Betty) Wetter of Celina Ohio, Steve (Theresa) Wetter of Boscobel.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Eric Wetter. Two sisters June Quick, Joane Greene.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.  Pastor Barbara Wolf officiating.  Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.Friends may call on Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel, and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Military honors accorded by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post# 134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer Radley VFW Post# 10393 both of Boscobel. I am so sorry to hear of Stanley's passing. He was truly an enjoyable man!
