Agustin "Augie" Duran Jr.

Agustin "Augie" Duran Jr., age 65 of Boscobel, passed away on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his family. He was born May 3, 1959 in Donna, Texas to Agustin and Estela (Olivarez) Sr. He married Eileen Clausen on September 9, 1978 in Mitchell, S.D., having met at the Bible College in Mitchell. After having their children, Augie and Eileen wanted to settle down and eventually chose Wisconsin as their home. Augie labored diligently as a construction worker and carpenter. Augie loved his family and always served others with his many talents: repairing family members’ cars, yard work and remodeling family members’ homes. Augie had cancer in the early 2000s, but beat it and had 20 years of remission. After his cancer returned, he fought hard for two years, sacrificing the last of his strength for more time with his family. Nearing the end of his earthly life, he was baptized in 2024 by Pastor Alex Ruggieri along with his wife Eileen. Augie is survived by his wife Eileen Duran of Boscobel. A daughter, Amanda Trumm of Boscobel. A son, Andrew Duran & fiance Emily Horkheimer both of Dodgeville. 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren. His mother, Estela Duran of Donna Tx. His siblings, Arnold Duran of Donna Tx, Antonio Duran of Sun Prairie Wi., Averlado (Deb) Duran of Elkador, Ia., Anna Duran of Bagley Wi., Apolonio Duran of Mt. Hope Wi., Alfonso (Rosa) Duran of Donna Tx. He was preceded in death by his father, 2 brothers, a son in law; Mark Trumm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 23, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Alex Ruggieri officiating. Burial in the Hickory Grove cemetery rural Boscobel. Friends may call on Monday September 23, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
