Betty M. Jacobus

Dateline-Boscobel Betty M. Jacobus, age 88 of Boscobel, passed away on Monday April 6, 2020 at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel. She was born February 24, 1932 in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin. The daughter of Royl and Edith (Holiday) Jenkins. She married Russell Jacobus on May 19, 1951 at the United Methodist Church in Barnum. He preceded her in death on April 1,1995. Betty's nickname was "Pancake Grandma" because she made pancakes for anyone who showed up before church every Sunday. Betty also worked many years as a homemaker on the farm in Childstown and later as a CNA at Boscobel Nursing Home for more than 25 years and when she retired, she still enjoyed volunteering at the nursing home fill water jugs for patients.  Betty enjoyed traveling with her sister, Doretta.  Betty is survived by her children: Steven Jacobus of Prairie du Chien, Robert (Cindy) Jacobus of Boscobel, Brian Jacobus of Wisconsin, Jody Jacobus of Boscobel, Mark Jacobus of Baraboo. 21 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. 1 Sister; Doretta Featherston of Gays Mills. A brother in law; Curt Robertson of Rockford Ill. Also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces that she loved dearly.   She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant grandson, a great-granddaughter Bronwyn Babb. A sister Gloria Robertson, Brother in Laws; Robert Featherston, ,  Bob Reiger. Sister in laws; Collie Foley, Laska Reiger. A daughter in law: Terri Jacobus. Due to the situation at hand with the pandemic , a private family graveside services was held on Thursday April 9, 2020 at the Haney Ridge Cemetery rural Boscobel.
