Candace M. "Candy" Mallat, age 72 of rural Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel,  surrounded by her family.  She was born March 9, 1951 in Richland Center Wisconsin.  The daughter of Charles and Janice (Delp) Bauer. She married Gary Mallat on Oct. 25, 1975 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda. 

Candy graduated from Riverdale High School and went on to study cosmetology,  before becoming a dedicated farmwife for more than 47 years. She loved her family and supported her kids through cattle shows, recitals, ball games, and throughout all their personal and professional endeavors. In recent years, it expanded to include her two grandsons.

She is survived by her husband Gary Mallat of Boscobel. Two daughters, Cori Mallat of Boscobel, Kaci (Bryan) Johnson of Granada Hills, CA.  One son, Troy (Diana) Mallat of Cottage Grove, MN. Two grandchildren; Gavin and Trenton Mallat of Cottage Grove, MN. A brother, Monte (Rita) Bauer of Richland Center, WI and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Father Christopher Padilla officiating. Burial in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Boscobel.
