Charles L. Christianson, age 86 of Wauzeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was born on April 6, 1938, son of the late Henry and Margaret (Seeley) Christianson. Chuck married Karen Degnan on May 9, 1964, and they were blessed with four children. Following high school, Chuck went to architecture school and later used his talents to design and build his home. He than joined the National Guard and was a member for 6 years with 6 months active duty. Following his active-duty service, he joined his father Henry at their family business in Wauzeka. He was the proud owner of Christianson Feed Mill in Wauzeka and was the second generation of three who owned and operated it.
Chuck had a deep passion for the outdoors and felt most at home when he was fishing on the river near his cabin. He bred and raised Labradors for many years and loved going duck hunting. Chuck was a weekend golfer who didn’t have much success on the course, but had fun doing it. He was also an avid Wisconsin sports fan who looked forward to watch the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers. Chuck proudly sponsored a local softball team for years and was honored with a “Friend of The Game” award later in life. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Chuck is survived by his wife Karen Christianson, children Connie (Ben) McCullick and Mike Christianson, grandchildren Alex (Callie) McCullick, Emily (Noah) Simon, Christopher (Abby) McCullick, Elizabeth (Isiaih) Okey, Eden Christianson, Brandon, Shandi, Cassie, and Margo Christianson, 13 great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Christianson, daughter Kristen Erdmann, and brother William (Myrt) Christianson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Century Hall, 213 E. Front Street, Wauzeka. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to provide support for projects within the Wauzeka community. The Kendall Funeral Service of Boscobel is assisting with arrangements.
