Connie Marie Neeley, age 73 of Boscobel, passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Connie loved many things in this world including her pet dogs and cats, wolves, baking, being outdoors, gardening, canning, and decorating for every holiday. She loved to float in the water on a tube, although she never was able to swim. She was a proud, independent woman as a homemaker for many years to her six children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie enjoyed many things during her time in this world such as dancing, country music, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was a proud mom who enjoyed watching her sons and grandsons compete in their bowling league. Connie loved when her son and grandson would take her to Brewer games. She was even known to enjoy the occasional adventure to the boat and play scratch-off tickets. Connie worked at Advance Transformer and later Lands’ End for many years. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt by all that cared for her.
Connie is survived by her children Cindy O’Kane of Soldiers Grove, Marty O’Kane of Boscobel, Bryan O’Kane of Boscobel, Tammy (Kristopher) Shepherd of Spring Green, Jeff O’Kane of Boscobel, and Christy (Dan) Baumeister of Gays Mills; grandchildren Trevor O’Kane, Ashley (Ross) Rakowski, Stephanie (Nicholas) Johnsrud, Jordan Gilmore, Devlin Smith, Deekin Smith, Aidyn O’Kane; and great-grandchildren Oliver, Dakota, Augustus, and Chase. She’s further survived by her brother Gary (Kathy) Neeley of Boscobel, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends,
She was preceded in death by her parents Faye and Velveo “Beula” Neeley, brothers Carson and Kenny, sisters Joyce (Darlene) Leggett and Beverly “Bev” Bender.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel. Following the visitation, Connie will be laid to rest in the Boscobel Cemetery. After the cemetery, Connie’s family will go to the Tuffley Center for food and fellowship. Connie’s family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their assistance with her home health services and to fulfill her final wish of staying at her residence until she was called home.
