Darold R. Knoble, age 92 of Boscobel, passed away on Friday June 16, 2023, at Boscobel Care and Rehab, in Boscobel.
He was born January 2, 1931, in Gays Mills, Wisconsin. The son of William and Letta (Riddiough) Knoble. He married Lois Fischer on August 18, 1962, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Waukesha. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2019.
He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was a teacher and coach in Reedsburg, Verona, and finally finished his career at Boscobel High School with over 30+ years. After he retired, he continued in education by volunteering at the Boscobel Elementary school helping students read. He also served on the WEAC Retiree Board for many years.
Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed history, tennis, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, music, and animals.
He is survived by a daughter Laura (Hans) Steele of Boscobel. One Grandson, Parker Steele of Boscobel. One sister; Dorothy Johnson of Wisconsin Dells. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Knoble. Two brothers Kenneth Knoble, Clayton "Red" Knoble.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. Pastor Mark Peters officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday July 8, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. Military Honors will be accorded by the Blake Semrad Post #134 American Legion, and the Gilbertson Pitzer Radley Post# 10393 VFW, both of Boscobel. The Kendal Funeral Service is assisting the family In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or The Boscobel Education Foundation.
