David M. Thompson age 53 of Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday August 16, 2022 at his home in Boscobel.  He was born December 16, 1968 in Madison Wisconsin.  The son of Bruce and Barbara (Marshall ) Thompson.  

David was a loving person with his family and close friends. He had a special love for the children and his family. His greatest joy was being with his children and grandchildren. His health stopped him from doing a lot of physical things but he was always there to lend an ear if someone needed to talk. He was the family‘s confident and protector. He had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a lot of his time was spent researching things that piqued his interest and sharing that knowledge. He was a consummate prankster with family and friends and enjoyed their reactions with a tell tale smirk on his face. He was our best friend and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by a son; Howard Thompson of Boscobel. A daughter; Chantel Thompson of Boscobel. His Mother and Step Father; Barbara (Randy) Simon of Boscobel. Two Grandsons; Tristan Hardy, and Sylus Edge. Two Sisters; Debra Whiteaker of Boscobel, Melisa Leaming of San Antonio Texas. A brother; Aaron (Shannon) Simon of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by his father Bruce Thompson, and a brother Mark Hometh.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 22, 2022 at 12:00 P.M at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke officiating.  Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday August 22, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
