Dian Freymiller passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at
Gundersen Health Center, LaCrosse due to complications of Covid-19.
Dian was born on March 12, 1965 to Elmer (Duke) and Jerrilyn (Yonash)
Stowell at the Boscobel Hospital. She graduated from Boscobel High School in
1983.
On September 19, 1987 she married the love of her life, Gene Freymiller at St.
John's Lutheran Church, Boscobel. On January 19th, 1990 and October 31,
1991, they welcomed their two amazing boys Cody and Casey, who were the
most important part of their lives.
After high school Dian graduated from MATC with a degree in Dental
Hygiene. She worked for Dr. Larry Clark in Boscobel after graduation, then in
2003, left there to work for William and Pearce in Richland Center until 2016
when she went back to work at Boscobel Family Dental. Dental health was
more than just a profession to Dian, it was her passion and she took pride in
what she did and treated and cared for patients like they were family.
Outside of her career, Dian was happiest when she was sewing, quilting, cross
stitching and traveling with her friends to fabric stores. She looked forward to
the annual camping trip to Warrens every summer with close friends and
family. Having family gatherings and celebrating special occasions meant the
world to Dian as she always had her camera in her hand capturing the moments
of the people she loved the most. She also had a love for her cats, her shot glass
collection, softball, high school cross country and volunteering to work the
concession stand during summer recreation programs. Her proudest moments
were watching her boys grow up and becoming a grandma. She cherished her
trip to Germany with her husband Gene in 2016 as they explored their heritage
and made memories to last a lifetime.
While Dian was a lover of life she was a fighter too. She survived two bouts of
breast cancer, never loosing faith that she would be able to thrive and continue
to watch her family grow and experience life’s milestones. She did not take any
moment for granted.
Dian is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gene Freymiller, Boscobel; son
Cody (fiancé Brittany Roscovius), LaCrosse, son Casey (Emma) Freymiller,
Richmond, VA; granddaughter Lillian and baby boy Freymiller (due
November) Richmond, VA; her father Elmer (Duke) Stowell, Boscobel; brother
Doug (Sara) Stowell, Wauzeka, WI; her mother and father-in-law, Alfred and
Virginia Freymiller, Boscobel; sisters-in-law Denise Grunow, Dodgeville WI
and Kris (Joe) Anderson, Loyal WI; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews
and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Jerrilyn Stowell. She
will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all that knew her.
Due to Covid-19, we will be having a celebration of Dian's life at a later date.
