Diane L. Turner

Diane L. Turner, age 70 of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1953, in Boscobel, the daughter of Lowell “Butch” and Elaine (Bailey) Turner. She was united in marriage to Steven Grapes in July 1972 (they later divorced), and they enjoyed years of travel from his time in the US Navy where she made many life-long friends. After returning to Boscobel in 1981, Diane worked at Advance Transformer, Lands’ End, Rayovac, and Great Lakes Higher Education. During this time, she also went back to school at Southwest Tech and proudly earned her associate’s degree in accounting. Her favorite thing to do was be at any event her grandkids were in. She was always their number one fan! She loved to help in any way she could either by making her macaroni salad or pumpkin bars to donate or volunteering her time. She always enjoyed sewing and has made many special items for many people through the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Whether it was crafting, taking drives, going out to eat, or shopping, she was always willing to do anything with anyone.

Diane is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Miller (Darren Cornell) of Boscobel and Shannon (Mike) Finnell of Gays Mills; four grandchildren, Alayna (Luke) Burbach of Gays Mills, Allie Cornell of Boscobel, Garrett Finnell (Faye Brassington) and Gavin Finnell both of Gays Mills; one great granddaughter Brooklyn Diane Burbach; a brother Larry (Alice) Turner of Verona; two sisters, Marcia (Tom) Mathews of Prairie Du Chien and Marilyn (Denny) Achenbach of Mt. Horeb; life-long friends Pat Reid and Cindy McDowell Kramer; along with many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Ron Gallitz.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Boscobel Bowl and Banquet in Boscobel. Pastor Lance Wetter officiating. A private family burial will be in the Boscobel Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at the Boscobel Bowl and Banquet in Boscobel.
