Donald D. Dawson, age 75 of rural Boscobel, passed away on Friday May 12, 2023 at Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse, surrounded by his family. He was born September 1, 1947 in Winchester Indiana. The son of James and Bessie (Bemis) Dawson.

When Don was 10, the family moved to rural Boscobel, Wisconsin. Don continued to farm and as an adult, began to drive semi trucks. Don was a professional and skilled truck driver. Don finished his career at Richardson Trucking in Boscobel. When not farming or driving, Don enjoyed tractor pulls. Pulling was a favorite activity, and built a hot rod pull tractor. After retirement, Don enjoyed raising tomatoes and squash and sharing with his family. Don had legendary wit and shared many laughs with friends, family and neighbors. Don was a much loved brother, uncle, great uncle, neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by a brother Matthew (Patricia) Dawson of Reedsburg. A sister, Cindy Reynolds  of Prairie du Chien. A nephew, Grant Reynolds of Prairie du Chien. A niece Holly (Jason) Reynolds-Buchen of Hudson Wisconsin. One Great-Nephew, William Buchen of Hudson. One Great Niece, Bergen Buchen of Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael Dawson, a nephew Curtis Dawson and an infant nephew Michael James Reynolds.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Maple Ridge Bible Church rural Boscobel. Pastor Noel Mays officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Saturday May 20, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at the Maple Ridge Bible Church rural Boscobel.
