His amiable nature and relentless friendliness made him a cherished member of his community. He is survived by his brother, Gene Batchelor of Fennimore, and a host of loving nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and melody. Doug's influence extended beyond blood ties, as he was an honorary family member to many, always ready to lend an ear or share a tune. Throughout his life, Doug exemplified what it means to live fully and with open arms. His was a life rich in experiences, shared moments, and the creation of beautiful memories. The words that best describe Doug are "friendly" and "accomplished," traits that he effortlessly embodied every day.
