Elmer L. Ritter

Elmer Lyle Ritter, age 92 of Boscobel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born on December 22, 1933, son of the late William and Nettie (Udelhoven) Ritter. Elmer married Patricia Davies on September 24,1955, and they were blessed with seven children. He worked at Dubuque Pack for 30 years and he also farmed. Elmer enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially when he was hunting and fishing. He and Patricia made countless memories together and enjoyed taking trips out west. 

He is survived by his children Rick (Barb) Ritter of Boscobel, Terry (Rebecca) Ritter of Boscobel, Jo Dell (Mike) Smith of Portage, Annette Kellogg of Boscobel, Rose (Clarence) Kipper of Lancaster, Juanita (Duane) Kipper of Lancaster, and Cindy Kipper of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with other relatives, and friends. Elmer was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ritter, sister Ina Koppen, son-in-law John Kipper, and his parents.
