Evelyn L. (Lewis) Ostrander

Evelyn L. Ostrander Boscobel, Wis. passed away Sunday September 5 2021 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore, Wi. She was born Nov. 30 1928 in Richland Center. She was the third child and only daughter born to Archie and June (Dyer) Lewis who had a farm near Basswood, Wisconsin. She graduated from Muscoda, Wis. High School in 1947.

She loved to fish, garden make quilts and rag rugs. She also set up at flea markets and sold her crafts. She had a hobby farm and raised goats, chickens, rabbits and her beloved cats. She also worked at Ostranders Meat Market.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Thereon and Harold, her first husband Paul Schroeder and her second husband Lyle Ostrander.

She is survived by four children,  Jack P. (Charlene) Schroeder (La Crosse), John T. (Debi) Schroeder(Gratiot), Cindy  (Ostrander) (Mike) Dobson(Boscobel), Jennifer (Ostrander) Turner(Boscobel).  She has Seven grandchildren Melissa, Philip, Justin, James, Chad, Brandelynn, Nathan and eight great grandchildren and by her cat Callie..

Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday September 9, 2021 at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Ryan Langner officiating, Burial in the Basswood Cemetery, Richland County.  Online condolences can be sent to www.kendallfuneralservice.com
