Evelyn M (Dottie) Gebhard
Evelyn Marie (Dottie) Gebhard passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home in Hickory Grove Township. Evelyn was born on April 9, 1928 on the family farm in Marion Township, the daughter of Louis G. & Louisa P. (Wellner) Brechler. On February 22, 1949 Evelyn married her childhood sweetheart, Arno G. Gebhard, at the Marion E & R Church. Together they owned and operated Suncrest Farms where they raised five children. Dottie remained active working on the farm hauling haylage and corn with her favorite big New Holland tractor. She enjoyed riding her
4-wheeler, mowing her yard, raising a big garden, feeding and watching her hummingbirds. She especially took pleasure in planting lots of flowers and making trips to Hillside Greenhouse to get flowers for an area that “needed a little something yet”.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Loren (Linda) Gebhard, Lancaster; Carol (Mitch) Dyer, Boscobel, Shirley Gebhard, Cody, Wyoming, Edward Gebhard, Boscobel, and Judy (Randy) Wagner, Mukwonago, seven grandchildren, Loriann (Nick) Webb, Leann (Ryan) Ploessl, Katilee Gebhard, Samuel Gebhard, Matthew Dyer, Jordon Dyer, Amanda Dyer, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Celesta Regenberg, nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and her little puppy dog, Ranger.
Waiting to welcome Dottie are her husband, Arno, her parents, Louis & Louisa, Father & Mother-in law, Fred & Rosie Gebhard, sister, Lorraine (Edwin) Maag, brother, Virgil (Thelma) Brechler, brother-in-law, Robert Regenberg and nephew, Alvin Maag.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery, Boscobel Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Boscobel Fire Department or the Boscobel Rescue Squad.
