Glendon Staskal Obituary

Glendon J. Staskal,age 99 of Boscobel, passed away on Sunday January 23, 2022 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore, surround by his family.  He was born July 10, 1922 in Hickory Grove Township, Grant County Wisconsin. The son of Joseph V and Gertrude (Nice) Staskal  He married Helen Mullikin on April 5, 1947 in Madison, she preceded him in death on February 4, 2014. 
   Glendon was a graduate from Boscobel High School.  Born and raised on the family farm where he lived for his entire life.  His passion for the outdoors showed in his gardens and shared his bounty with many.  Glendon was also the Hickory Grove Township Clerk for 31 years.  He only retired at the age of 94 because he wasn’t going to learn computers.

     He was a faithful parishioner since 1925 at the Boscobel Methodist Church.  Very little would stop him from attending.
     His passion was his family and loved sitting and watching his Great Grandchildren, Gardening, playing cards, dancing and good old country music.


He is survived by two sons; Dennis (Vicki) Staskal of Oregon Wisconsin, Joseph Staskal and wife Julie Gentz of Tulsa Oklahoma.  Three grandchildren;  Kain (Heidi),  Justin (Melissa) and John Staskal.   Five great-gradnchildren .  Oliver, Orion, Stella, Odin and Sierra Staskal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Robert Staskal, two sisters; Gayle Knapp, Ruth Baumeister. 
A celebration of life will be held, on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel. Pastor Stan Pegram officiating, with burial in the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday May 21, 2022 from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel. In lieu of flowers memorials,  can be given to the Boscobel Fire Department or the Boscobel EMT.  The Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel is assisting the family.  Online condolences can be sent o www.kendallfuneralservice.com
