Harry A. Brechler

Harry A Brechler passed away on Friday September 8, 2023 at 

Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Care & Rehab.

 Harry was born on July 23, 1928 to Harry and Barbara E. (Grandjean) Brechler. 

Harry served in World War II, was a farmer, was a mechanic for Briel's in Fennimore and developed a subdivision within Boscobel.

He married Gertrude (Lenz) Payne on March 22, 1969. 

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, step-sons Duane and Keith Payne and step-daughters Marian Harris and dear friend Elaine Yonker, his sister Kathryn Tomlinson and her husband Robert, his brother Gene and his wife Doris, his brother Claude and his wife Adelia and his nephew Bart Brechler. A close friend Shirley Updike also preceded him in death

He is survived by nieces Glee Brechler and her husband Mike and Gay Brechler Nagle Kray and nephews Edward Tomlinson and his wife Barb and Troy Brechler. He is also survived by step daughter-in-law Phyllis Payne. He is also survived by many grand nieces and grand nephews and many great- grand nieces and great- grand nephews.He is also survived by many step grandchildren and many step great- grandchildren. 

There will be a private ceremony with military rites at the Bethel Cemetery in Rural Boscobel. The final arrangements are conducted by the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
