James G. "Goose" Welsh

James G. "Goose" Welsh, age 64 of Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his home in Boscobel.  He was born September 13, 1955, in Boscobel.  He was the son of Oscar and Caroline (Faust) Welsh.  He married Kimlyn Calvert on September 18, 1976 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fennimore. Jim worked for Welsh's Concrete in Boscobel for 34 years. He loved to walleye fish on the Mississippi River.  He also enjoyed hunting with family and friends, traveling to Mexico, and hanging out at the pool.

Jim is survived by his wife Kimlyn Welsh of Boscobel. His children: Jaime (Scott) Kovars of Houston,  TX and Aaron (Kelly) Welsh of Cottage Grove.  His mother Caroline Welsh of Boscobel. His siblings: Judy (Dick) Knoble of Brooklyn, WI , Theresa (Ole) Seim of Boscobel, Larry (Deb) Welsh of Boscobel, Kevin (Karen) Welsh of Boscobel, Mary (Stacy) Karsten of Boscobel, several nieces and nephews.  He is further survived by brother and sister -in-laws: Deb (Daniel) Carns of Fennimore, Kathy (Randy) Nelson of Moberly, MO., and Rob (Lisa) Calvert of Fennimore. 

He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Welsh along with two brothers: Richard Welsh and  Marvin Welsh.
