Jannet Slade Obituary

Jannet C. Slade, age 75 of Madison and formerly of Boscobel, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was born on May 19, 1949, daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Rose) Slade. Jannet moved to Madison and worked at Rayovac in their office for many years until her retirement. She had a unique talent for numbers at work and was very quick with any Sudoku puzzle. Jannet had a very calm, quiet personality, but she had a knack to come up with a witty remark to make anyone laugh. She also had the clever ability to use her sharp wit to keep people in line, especially her older brother Bob. Jannet treasured the times spent with her sister, especially when they would take drives in Crawford County to enjoy the scenery. Jannet also enjoyed watching sports, especially golf, skiing, and tennis. She did value her privacy, but she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and making lasting memories. Jannet will be remembered by her family as a wonderful sister and aunt.

She is survived by her sister Phyllis Sander of Wauzeka, nephew Todd (Deanna) Sander of Wauzeka, nieces Dawn (Charles) Tiffany of Arkansaw, WI, Danielle Varney of Plain, WI, and Stacy Eitsert of Gays Mills. Jannet was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Slade, brother-in-law Dick Sander, and nephew-in-law Galeon Eitsert.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Online condolences can be offered at www.kendallfuneralservice.com.
