Jerome "Jerry" Meyer

Jerome A. “Jerry” Meyer, age 80 of rural Boscobel, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He was born on May 15, 1944 in Chicago to the late Gerhard and Julia (Johnson) Meyer. Trap Loved hunting fishing and trapping, antique trap collecting and buying and selling traps, playing pool muscle cars which were all a lifetime passion. Trap was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Trappers Association and was a member of Union Local 464 for 52 years. He always found time for his grandchildren hoping to pass down his knowledge of the great outdoors

Jerry is survived by his sons Thomas (Julia) Meyer of Lake Geneva, Kenneth (Nancy Malicki) Meyer of Genoa City, and Jerome Meyer Jr. of Lake Geneva; former wife Bonnie Meyer of Lake Geneva, 4 grandchildren, along with other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles Meyer, and his parents.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on May 17, 2025 at 9:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Richmond Cemetery, 5901 Broadway Road Richmond, IL 60071. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to Wisconsin Trappers Association
