Joanne Elizabeth (Robertson) Tracy, age 89 of Boscobel, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born on November 6, 1935, daughter of the late Joe and Margaret (Yonash) Mallat. Joanne married Darwin Robertson and together they had six children. On November 16, 1985 Joanne married Robert (Bob) Tracy who preceded her in death on April 10, 2000.
Joanne graduated from Boscobel High School class of 1952 as valedictorian. Following graduation she attended Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her education in medical and X-ray sciences provided a life-long career at the Boscobel Memorial Hospital and Clinic. The true joy of her life was spending time with her family and many friends. Joanne was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. She was an accomplished knitter making many beautiful items for her family and for the Disabled Veterans Program. As a lover of all animals, she could often be found with doggie treats in her pockets. Joanne was a volunteer for the Bloodmobile; greeter at the hospital and nursing home; and for the National Parks Service.
Joanne is survived by her children Brian Robertson of Wauwatosa,WI, Charmin (Paul) Andrews of Minneapolis, MN, Dawn (Ernie) Johnson of Asheville, NC, Kristy Holt of Fairbanks, AK, Kelly (Jeff) Schulenburg of Poynette, WI, Ed (Deb) Robertson of Boscobel, WI and Neil Brooks of Wauwatosa,WI. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Tracy, sister Agnes Karsten, and her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel with Rev. Mark Peters officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Joanne will be laid to rest at Basswood Cemetery. Immediately following inurnment, a luncheon will be held at the Cottonwood Supper Club in Fennimore. Donations may be made to the family or Agrace Hospice.
