Joyce S. Butler

Joyce S. Butler, age 83 of Boscobel, passed away on April 12, 2026. She was born on February 7, 1943 in Boscobel to the late Ottmar and Florence (Miller) Boebel. She married Gordon Butler on February 8, 1964, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel. Joyce enjoyed sewing, quilting, and working on crafts. She will be remembered as a kind and likeable person by her friends and family.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Loretta Butler of Dodgeville, brother Ottmar Boebel, Jr. of Boscobel, son-in-law Paul Schaaf of Mineral Point, grandchildren Katie Kieffer, Danny Kieffer, and David Schaaf, other relatives, and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Butler, daughter Diane Schaaf, infant children Kevin and Ronnie Butler, and her parents.

The memorial service for Joyce will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel with Rev. Lance Wetter officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in the Boscobel Cemetery.
