Judith A. Stovey, age 77 of Gays Mills passed away on Sunday June 7,
2020 at the Gundersen Boscobel Hospital of Boscobel surrounded by her
family. She was born on January 17, 1943 in North Clayton Township in
Crawford County. Judy was the daughter of Emmett and Eunice (Gander)
Maybee. She married Burnie Christopherson on January 7, 1961 and
they later divorced after years of marriage. Judy then married Donald
Stovey on September 14, 1985. Judy is survived by her husband Don of
Gays Mills, Lori (Don) Brown of Gays Mills, Sara Christopherson of
Bagley, Teri Christopherson of Cashton, Lisa (Jody) Anderson of Viola
, Burnie (Andrea) Christopherson of Gays Mills, Cyndy (Gerald) Klatt
of Richland Center, Craig (Heidi) Stovey of Reedsburg, Chad (Heidi)
Stovey of Soldiers Grove, Shawna (Nick) Koch of Readstown, Cory (Jen)
Stovey of Boscobel and a special nephew David Pena from California who
Judy helped raise for a year while her sister was ill. Judy has 26
grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She has 1 brother, Jim
Maybee from Gays Mills and 3 sisters; Donna Coyne from Byron
Illinois, Janet Pena of West Salem and Julienne (Bill) Baker of Viola
and a special fur baby Barney. She also has many nieces and nephews
and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Emmett and Eunice, a son
Michael Christopherson, 2 brothers, Leslie Maybee and Marvin Gander
and 1 sister in law Shirley Gander and 1 brother in law Kerrin Coyne
and her ex husband Burnie Christopherson, nephews, David Coyne,
Richard Gander and Chad Baker and a niece Jeannette Maybee and
grandson Carter Stovey.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 11, 2020 at 12pm at the
Maple Ridge Bible Church, rural Boscobel. Pastor Noel Mayes and
Pastor Dave Smith will be co-officiating. Burial will be in the Haney
Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 9am
until the time of the service at the Maple Ridge Bible Church, 43955
