Kathleen Mary Adkins

Kathleen Mary Adkins, age 95 of Boscobel, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1930 in Prairie du Chien, daughter of the late James and Katie (Cull) Crowley. Kathleen married Ernest Carlin on February 20, 1950 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seneca. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1964. She later married Robert Adkins on May 11, 1968 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2005.

Kathleen loved to play cards and donate her time at the Tuffley Center. She treasured the time spent with her family and friends. Kathleen will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Kathleen is survived by her children Teresa Knoble of Fennimore, Anna Marie Conley of Fennimore, Karen (Kenneth) Spradling of Green Cove Springs, FL, Jackie (Bruce) Hilger of Wheatland, WY, Janet Biggs of Campbellsville, KY, and Ernie (Al) Zart of Fennimore; twin sister Eileen Hermsen of Prairie du Chien, 19 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, special friends Steve and Karen, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son Thomas Carlin, son Donald Carlin, daughter Mary Carlin; grandchildren Sarah Jo Carlin, Tyrone Conley, and Lydell Knutson; brothers James, Edward, and Bernard Crowley; sisters Delrosa Bruns, Hazel Bussman, Agnes Grimme, and Bernice Fazel; sons-in-law Mick Knoble and Paul Conley; daughter-in-law Cathy McClimans, as well as her husbands and parents. 

The funeral mass for Kathleen will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 405 E. Le Grand Street, Boscobel with Rev. Christopher Padilla officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Kathleen will be laid to rest in the Boscobel Cemetery.
