Lida G.. (Godager) Sale

Lida G.Sale, age 88 of Boscobel, passed away on Monday January 31, 2022 at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel.  She was born April 8, 1933 in Blue River Wisconsin.  The daughter of Carlton and Esther (Coumbe) Godager.  She married Melvin Sale on November 26, 1966 in Madison.  He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008.
Lida was a very spiritual, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She grew up and graduated from Blue River. Then went on to attend college at Iowa Wesleyan Methodist College in Mount Pleasant, IA. She was a long time member of the Boscobel United Methodist Church, serving on many clubs and committees throughout the years. She was always there for her family and friends selflessly giving of her time and energy. She loved cooking and baking, especially over the holidays making many homemade Christmas treats that will be remembered by her family always. She also loved gardening and planting marigolds every year all around the house. 

She is survived by two daughters,  Ginny Sale (Jamie Poller) of Boscobel, Amanda (Brian) Cummings of Prairie du Sac. Five Grandchildren, Samantha LaDow, Tracie LaDow(Mark Kahl),Blain LaDow (Amanda Brady), Levi LaDow and Jonathan Cummings. Five Great-Grandchildren Dominic, Olivia, Michael, Ethan and Danielle.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her special extended Mother Mayme Zemlicka.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel. Pastor Stan Pegram officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.  Friends may call on Saturday February 12, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the United Methodist Church in Boscobel.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.  The Kendall Funeral Service in Boscobel is assisting the family.  Online condolences can be sent to wwwkendallfuneralservce.com
