Lona Adams Obituary

Lona R. Adams, age 69 of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her home in Boscobel surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 24, 1954 in Tomah, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert "Al" and Beverly (Hennarichs) Johnson. She married Reggie Adams on June 17, 1972 in Boscobel. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2019. Lona was an active community member, she led many Girl Scout Troops, activities, events, and camps in Boscobel throughout the years. Lona enjoyed traveling with Regg and her family, camping at numerous locations around the state. Over 20 years were spent at Lake Neshonoc socializing with family and friends around a campfire. Lona had a passion for her flowers and took great pride in brightening her yard and campsites. Most recently, she enjoyed her time snow birding in Pharr Texas, bus trips, and socializing with her closest friends. Lona would often find herself reminiscing with her children in which she was very proud of. She also took pride in spending time with her grandchildren including sharing her love for arts and crafts, cheering from the sidelines at sporting events, school concerts, and plays. At a young age Lona and Regg managed the old Boscobel Bowling Alley and owned The Good Time Bar. Lona also worked at the Boscobel Hospital and at Great Lakes prior to retirement. She is survived by her three children, Michelle Adams of Winona Mn., Shawna (Dayton) Bedward of Boscobel, and Cody (Jaime) Adams of Boscobel, six grandchildren Anna, Emily, Shelby, Dakota, Grayson, and Addison, and a sister, Linda Polanco of Onalaska. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Mark Johnson, and sister Cathy Corpian. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday April 26, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel, with Pastor Lance Wetter officiating, followed by a private family inurnment at the Boscobel Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday April 26, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 4:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.
