Lyle C. Vesperman

Lyle C. Vesperman, age 82 of Boscobel, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 16, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1942, son of the late John and Velma (Hays) Vesperman.  After graduating from Fennimore High School in 1960, Lyle worked a variety of jobs including hauling milk, concrete and silo work, selling insurance and working at Caterpillar in Aurora, IL before becoming an operator with Croft Brothers. Lyle eventually retired from Milestone Materials.  He enjoyed sports and played football, baseball, track and basketball in high school.  As an adult, he played on several softball teams and was a very good bowler.  Lyle was a devoted public servant and served on The Boscobel City Council for 16 years.  He possessed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was a lifetime member of the Boscobel Sportsman Club.  Over the years, he loved and raised many purebred Labrador dogs.  Lyle also had a special fondness for cruising in his cherished red corvette.

Lyle is survived by his brother Archie Vesperman of Lancaster, sister Stella Blair of Appleton, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and five sisters.

A memorial service for Lyle will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Lyle will be laid to rest at the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore.
