Mabelle M. Turner, age 80, of Boscobel passed away on Thursday November 17, 2022 at Pine Valley Community Village in Richland Center.  She was born July 29, 1942, in Boscobel Wisconsin.  The daughter of Carl and Inez (Rogers) Achenbach.  She married Lyle Turner on August 13, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.  He preceded her in death on August 13, 2016.

 

She started working, after graduating high school, at the Boscobel Telephone Company and worked there for many years. She then worked 34 years as an office manager at Dr. Larry Clark’s Dental Office before retiring in 2016. 

 

She had a strong Christian faith, and was an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church for most of her life. She taught and coordinated Sunday School for many years, served on the church council, and was involved in many volunteer activities at the church including making quilts for missionaries. 

 

She served as a cub scout leader for several years, and frequently volunteered as a chaperone for many of her children’s activities. She unselfishly served family, friends, and others who were in need. 

 

She is survived by her children;  Mark (Kelly)  Turner of Maryland, Philip (Inna) Turner of Whitefish Bay, Paul (Kimberly) Turner of New Berlin, Melissa Meyer of Middleton. Grandchildren, Troy (Kristen) Turner, Felicia (Matthew) Bedessem, Hannah Turner, Toni Libby, Justin Ballard, Connor Ballard, Zackary Turner, Jacob Turner, Kaitlin Turner, Daniel Turner, Ryan Meyer, Deavan Meyer, Mazy Meyer, & Masan Meyer; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Patti) Achenbach of Boscobel, Edward (Belle Ann) Achenbach of Boscobel, Robert Achenbach of Beetown, Dennis (Marilyn) Achenbach of Mount Horeb; sisters, Ann (Robert) Walker of Kenosha, Thelma (Gerald) Jones of Boscobel, Kathy Boatman of Boscobel, Barb (Mike) Collins of Florida, & Jeanette Nauert of Boscobel; and brothers in law, Richard Hagensick & Ted Hall.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Inez (Rogers) Achenbach; brothers, Carl (Gene) Achenbach, Donald Achenbach, Richard Achenbach, & Patrick Achenbach; sisters, Beverly Wallace, Madeline Hagensick, & Peggy Hall.

 

Memorial service will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.  Pastor Baker officiating. Burial in the Boscobel cemetery.  Friends may call on Saturday December 3, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boscobel.
