Margaret J. Ritchie

Margaret J. Ritchie, age 90 of Boscobel, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1934 to the late Joseph and Margaret (Conley) Farrell. Margaret married Ron Ritchie on June 11, 1955, and they were blessed with 61 years together and eight children. Her Catholic faith was foremost in her life as well as her love for her family. Everyone was welcome in her kitchen, and she always made sure they were well fed. You never knew if she would be canning garden produce, driving a tractor, throwing hay bales, or sewing clothes for her children. All of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a special place in her heart

She is survived by her children Kathy (Bob) Everson of Fennimore, Jeanne (Chris) Wolff of Wauzeka, Bonnie (Todd) Stenner of Boscobel, Barbara (Rick) Ritter of Boscobel, Ron (Christy) Ritchie of Blue River, Michael (Jeannie) Ritchie of Sun Prairie, and Jerry (Kathy) Ritchie of Appleton; son-in-law Stanley Fritz of Mt. Carroll, IL, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren (with two more on the way), along with other relatives, and friends.  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ron Ritchie, daughter Linda Fritz, grandchildren Austin Fritz, Logan Clapper, and Kipton Shore; brothers Tom Farrell, Joe Farrell, and Ray Farrell; sisters Letha Stafford, Lillian Mezera, Florence Goplin, Leona LaMere, Ruby Farrell, Eileen Wayne, Rosemary Ward, and Betty Mindham. 

The funeral mass for Margaret will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 405 E. Le Grand Street, Boscobel with Rev. Christopher Padilla officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of mass. A rosary service will precede the visitation at church starting at 8:30 am.
