Marguerite F. Mullikin, age 96, of Madison and formerly of
Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at
her home in Madison, surrounded by her family. She was
born December 10, 1925 in Birmingham Alabama. The
daughter of Ralph and Eloise (Branch) Suber. She
married Amon "Buster" Mullikin on December 12, 1958 in
Blue River. He preceded her in death on January 16,
Marguerite worked at Rexall Drug store in Boscobel, then
later at the local grocery store. Together with her husband,
they owned and operated the Mobil gas station in
Boscobel for many years.
Her hobbies included sewing, needle point, scrabble,
cribbage, crossword puzzles and golfing.
After the death of her husband she moved to Florida for a
couple of years to be by her Mother and sisters. She later
moved back to be near her family. She lived with her son
Maurice for a short while to care for granddaughters Emily
She then resided in Sun Prairie for many years. It was at
the Colonial View where she met many close friends and
enjoyed playing card and all the activities there. Eventually
she moved in with her son Mark in Madison, which gave
her much comfort and joy in her later years. They enjoyed
playing games, singing songs, taking drives and golfing.
Together they got their beloved dog Tippy and went to the
dog park every night when Mark got home from work. She
was so peaceful living there with Mark.
In 2020 she fell and broke her hip and spent rehab at Oak
Park in Madison, then to Chamomile Assisted Living due
to her onset of dementia. She was always a happy person
and brought so many smiles to everyone around her. She
loved her family so much and enjoyed the visits, cards,
flowers, love and thoughts she received from them during
We have so many fond memories of her at all our life
celebrations and gatherings of her children and
grandchildren. So many Thanksgiving get together’s at
daughter Penny’s in Fennimore. We are all blessed to
have had her in our lives. Rest in peace Mother.

Cliff and "fiancee" Cindy Stiklestad, both of Pardeeville,
Judy (Joe) Van Beek of McFarland, Gary (Denise) Mullikin
of Lake Mills, Cindy (Rich) Wagner of Sun Prairie, Doug
(Sharon) Mullikin of Highland, Mark Mullikin of Madison.
11 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren. One sister;
Wanda Croft of Ohio. Also survived by several nieces and
nephews.. A brother in law, Warren Mullikin of Onalaska ,She was preceded in death by her parents, a
sister; Madeline Purdy, Grandson Shawn Mullikin,
Granddaughter Emily Cliff, Great-Granddaughter Haven
Van Beek. A brother in law; Don Mullikin. Two sister in laws, Vivian Mullikin, Virginia Mullikin
Private family funeral services will be held on Saturday,
October 29, 2022, at the Kendall Funeral Home in
Boscobel. Greg Cliff officiating. Burial in the Sand Prairie
Cemetery, rural Blue River. In lieu of flowers memorials
can be given to Chamomile Assisted Living in Madison.
