Monroe F. Thole

Monroe F. Thole, age 85 of rural Prairie du Chien, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 9, 1939, to the late Sylvester and Evelyn (Meier) Thole. 

Monroe farmed until retirement. He was very proud of his farm & livestock.  Monroe was an avid sports fan, hunter and fisherman.  He loved to trap shoot and had traveled for many years to competitions or just shoot with friends/family.  

He is survived by his wife Maryann, children Martin Thole of Iowa, MaryAnn (Kirk) Dresen of Lodi, Marsha Donaldson of Beetown, Diane Thole of Cassville, Kelli Thole of Middleton, and Vicki Thole of Fennimore; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Maurice Thole, & sister Wilma Decker.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Bloomington Sportsman Club, 10012 University Farm Road, Bloomington.
