Peggy A. Baumeister, age 82 of Boscobel, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at Gundersen Health System in Boscobel.  She was born March 4, 1941. The daughter of Ishmael and Margaret (Neff) Richter.  She married Charlie Baumeister on September 10, 1960 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel.

Peggy was known by many, and always willing to help those she could.  She was an avid cook, and baker, best known for her pies.  If you came to visit, you never left hungry.  Peggy enjoyed life on the farm working arm in arm with Charlie.  She loved the adventures and travels they did as a couple.  She was the active  president of the Boscobel Women's Club and volunteered for many local organizations, working to make Boscobel a better place.

She is survived by her husband Charlie Baumeister of Boscobel. Two daughters, Melanie Erickson of Wisconsin Dells, Jane (Cliff) Oney of Greenwich Ohio. Three sons, Bryan Baumeister and Ellen Monroe of Boscobel, Mike (Shelley) Baumeister  of  Boscobel and Todd (Andrea) Baumeister of Altadena Ca.   9 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren. Her siblings; John (Sandy) Richter of Ferryville, Bill (Donna) Richter of Glen Haven, Gloria Nickolas of Ft. Atkinson, Kay (Dick) Bartels of Muscoda, Deb (Carl) Dominic of Charlottesville,  Va. and a sister in law; Kathy Richter of Oswego, IL

An  Aunt; Leona Miller of San Diego CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Tom Richter and a son in law Leif Erickson. 

A celebration of life visitation will be held on April 16, 2023 at the Boscobel Bowling Alley from 1 until 4pm.
