Rebecca "Becky" A. (Monson) Kretschman

Rebecca A. "Becky" Kretschman passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, surrounded by family at Schmidt Woodland Hills in Richland Center, WI.  She was born on October 26, 1955, in Rockford, IL to Carroll and Darlene Monson.  She was raised by her grandparents Harry and Iola Miles in Boscobel, WI.  Rebecca graduated from Boscobel High School in 1973.  She raised her two sons Jason and Kevin Duve in Boscobel as well.  She worked at Advance Transformer until she retired in 2002.  Later in life, Becky met the love of her life, Harold Kretschman. She and Harold were married to for 11 years until his passing in 2001.  Harold and her sons built their beautiful home where many happy memories were made, and she resided until she went into the nursing home.

Becky loved her dogs Ellie, Punky, Tweety, and Wicket.  She even had a pet chicken for a while!  She loved her music and really enjoyed dancing, camping, bonfires, fireworks, going to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren, Paige and Carson Duve.  Becky was a big fan of the cartoon character Tweety Bird which could be seen in her large collection of memorabilia.

Rebecca Kretschman is survived by her son Kevin (Tara) Duve of Palmetto, FL and their children Paige and Carson; mother Darlene Monson of Rockford, IL; sibling Carroll (Sue) Monson Jr. of Rockford, IL; a nephew and niece, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.  Becky is also survived by her very special cousin and best friend, Bonnie Pasker of Sextonville, WI, who took care of her and has always been by her side, through good times and bad.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Kretschman; son Jason Duve; father Carroll Monson Sr.; and grandparents Harry and Iola Miles.

A celebration of  Life will be held on Friday October 4, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Ryan Langner officiating. Burial in the Boscobel.
