Robert B. Moran

Robert Moran, age 85 of Boscobel, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at home with his loving wife by his side. He was born on August 21, 1939 in Richland Center to the late Bernard and Ruby (Pittsley) Moran.

Bob graduated from Boscobel High School in 1957. He then joined the U.S. Army for two years. Bob married Rita Tierney in 1960 and they had one daughter Christina before they divorced in 1981. In 1988, Bob married Donna (Berg) Jones and lived in Madison, WI. He enjoyed playing Euchre, hunting, ice fishing, along with watching the Brewers and Packers. Bob worked at John Deere in Dubuque for a while before moving to Watertown where he worked as a produce manager at a major grocery chain for many years. He retired from Oscar Mayer in 1995 after 25 years of employment.

Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna Moran of Boscobel, daughter Christina (Pete) Arnold of Madison, step-son Douglas (Carrie) Jones of Darlington, six grandchildren, Sarah Anna (Kyle) Enyart of Colorado, Brittany (Tim) Schulte of Florida, Tom Jones of Darlington, Jenna (Brett) Ewing of Richland Center, Sarah Rose Arnold of Appleton, and Matthew Arnold of Madison; brother Tom Moran of Boscobel, sisters Kate (Jim) Vogt of Cassville, Mary Halverson of Stoughton, and Betty (Art) Masshardt of Madison; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Harold and Florence Berg, sister Pat (David) Zinkle, brothers-in-law Ronald Halverson, Dale Kuenster, Wesley Johnson and Chuck Czyneski, as well as sister-in-law Sandy Moran.

The memorial service for Bob will be held at Noon on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel with Rev. Christopher Padilla officiating. Military honors will follow the service. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
