Ronald "Ron" Havlik Obituary

Ronald J. "Ron" Havlik, age 79 of Blue River passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Boscobel Care and Rehab in Boscobel.  He was born November 10, 1942 in Barnum, Wisconsin.  The son of Frank
and Esther (Holiday) Havlik.  He married Barbara Mezera on September 5, 1964 in Boscobel.

Ron taught and coached for two years at Wauzeka.  He then spent the next 32 years as teacher/coach/counselor at Boscobel High School.  After he retired, he devoted his time to his family and volunteer work.  He was
especially dedicated to the Riverdale Education Foundation and Sugar Creek Bible Camp.  Ron also served several years as trustee on the Blue River Village Board and was the board's liaison to the
Blue River Fire District Board. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Haviik of Blue River.  Two daughters, Angela Havlik and Elden Camper of Elkhorn,  Heather and Christopher Simonson of Blue River.  One son, Rees Havlik
of Blue River.  One granddaughter, Lyric Simonson and fiancé Skyler Albaugh of Verona.  One brother, Royce and Peggy Havlik of Gays Mills.  Sisters-and-brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family gathering to celebrate Ron's life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in the St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, rural Mt. Hope, at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to
The Riverdale Education Foundation, Sugar Creek Bible Camp, the "Friends of Blue River" organization, Blue River Fire and EMS,  Boscobel High School scholarship to be given in Ron's memory.
