Roy C. Matlock Sr

Roy Clinton Matlock Sr., 54, of Woodman WI, passed away on September 30,2023 at Froedtert
Hospital in Wauwatosa WI. He was born December 3, 1968, the son of Barbara Ramsey and Charles
Matlock Sr.
Roy met his wife, Elizabeth Darlene Peerenboom in High School, They married on May 23, 1987.
They had 3 children together, Jennifer, Samantha and Roy Matlock. They later divorced. He later married
Penny Shultz on March 12th, 2000 and gained a step son, Adam Gaertner. They later divorced.
Roy had various jobs in his lifetime. He worked in the plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general
laborer fields. He was employed at Midwest Silo. He also worked in the Navy Yard when he was living in
California  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, wood working , reading just
about anything, playing pool on different pool leagues, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. Roy was part
of the Seneca Fire Dept. for many years.
He is survived by his Children: Jennifer (Tyler) Aspenson of Ferryville, WI. , Samantha Matlock of
Avoca, WI. , Roy (Sophia) Matlock of Bagley, WI., Adam (Erin) Gaertner of Prairie Du Chien, WI. His
Mother Barbara Halverson of Woodman, WI., His Siblings: Kent(Jeannie) Ernst Of De Soto, WI., Charles
Matlock Jr. of IL., Opal (Peter) Hostert of Desoto, WI., Matthew Heinzeroth of Peru IL., Crystal
Heinzeroth of Granville, IL., Kim Anderson of Sandwich, IL.; Nine Grandchilden, Robert, Zoey, Karlee,
Zeke, Laylah, Zane, Atlas, Calliope, and Michael; and many nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Father Charles Matlock, Step Mother, Deanna Matlock,
Brother; Bill Heinzeroth; Niece; Karmen Mercer. Along with several Aunts and Uncles.
Roy's Celebration of Life will  be held on Sunday October, 15th from 11-2 at the Seneca Town Hall.
