Shawn C. Tanner, age 62 of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday November 14, 2020 at Schmitt Woodland Hills in Richland Center.  He was born October 30, 1958 in Marietta Township Crawford County Wisconsin. The son of Theodore "Ted" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Degenhardt) Tanner. Shawn worked as a field applicator for Premier Co-Op for many years. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, riding his Harley, working on vehicles with his son, camping, sitting around the bonfire, truck pulls, demolition derby's, and racing. He enjoyed bow hunting and was an exceptional shot. He competed in many bow shoots where he often brought home a trophy. Even now, he is still on the hunt for that "Big Buck". He was also an ABATE member. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a very loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.

Shawn is survived by his children, Sara (Roger) Seitz of Prairie du Chien, Shane (Elizabeth) Tanner of Prairie du Chien, Shannon Tanner (Wade Klingeman) of Prairie du Chien, Ashley Wilkinson (Waylon Dodd) of Richland Center, Stephanie Tanner (Joshua Swope) of Prairie du Chien. His mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Tanner of Boscobel. 16 grandchildren: Hailey, Lillian, Gwendolyn, Reubyn, Gage, Theodore, Joslyn, Trinity, Ethan, Brooklyn, Avery, Gabriel, Garrett, Graycie, Eva, Jasper. 2 sisters, Gail (David) Wetter of Woodman, Toni (Gene) Tyler of Gays Mills.

Best friend of 45 years, Mark Hackett.

Former wives Sherry (Wissbaum) Lechnir and Milly Edgerly.

He was preceded in death by his father Theodore "Ted" Tanner, siblings Holly Tanner and infant twins, and an uncle Kenny Degenhardt.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 20, 2020 at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel.  Father Christopher Padilla officiating. Graveside service, open to the public at 11:45 A.M. at the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel.
