Shirley A (Ostrander) Faulkner

Shirley A. Faulkner, age 87 of Boscobel, passed away on Saturday April 9, 2022 at Boscobel Care & Rehab in Boscobel. She was born January 21, 1935 in Prairie du Chien. The daughter of Jack and Estella (Huard) Ostrander.  She married Lester Faulkner on October 1, 1955 in Prairie du Chien.  He preceded her in death on June 4, 2018.
Shirley loved dancing, sometimes her father was in the band and he would take the family, other times she and her sister would sneak off to go dancing.  It was at a dance at the Checkerboard that she met Lester, her husband-to-be. They were married in a double wedding with her brother and his wife.  Together Shirley and Lester raised three children.  Shirley was devoted to her family, and super proud to be a grandma.  She enjoyed playing cards and her trips to the casinos.  She collected dolls and stuffed animals, talking to and dressing them.  
She is survived by a son; Jerry Faulkner and wife (Valerie Wachuta) of Platteville, a Grandson; Jerrison Faulkner and girlfriend Breezy Peckham both of Platteville. One sister; Linda (Fritz) Bradley of Prairie du Chien, a sister-in-law; Carol Ostrander of Manchester IA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Debbie Johnson, a son; Jeff Faulkner, siblings; Pal Ostrander, Mike & Ivy Ostrander, Bob Ostrander, and Don & Zola Becwar.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Mary Anne Floerke officiating.  Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.
