Steven A. Ariss

Steven A. Ariss, age 75 of Boscobel, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on June 5, 1949 to the late Charles and Leota (Ross) Ariss. Steve was married and was blessed with four daughters. He was later united in marriage to Susan Johnson on September 9, 1999 in Lancaster, and they shared 25 years of marriage together.

Steve was a well driller for almost 40 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and houndsman. He especially enjoyed visits from his daughters and grandkids. 

Steve is survived by his wife Susan Ariss of Boscobel, children Theresa (Jamie) Braudt of Fennimore, Amy (Matt) Franklin of Muscoda, Brandy (Verne) Dosch of Lone Rock, Jenny (Josh) Kast of Richland Center, and Jeff (Tammy) Johnson of Wauzeka, sister Linda Palmer of Cedar Rapids, special grandson Tate Kirshbaum of Boscobel, special hunting Buddy Steven Seim of Boscobel, Elaine “Ma” Bender of Boscobel, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Johnson, sister Carol Thein, infant grandson Jonah Braudt, and infant granddaughter Lindsey Riggs.

A private memorial service for Steve will be held at the Kendall Funeral Service, 209 Mary Street, Boscobel with Rev. Lance Wetter officiating on Thursday, January 23, 2025. He will be laid to rest at a later date. Online condolences can be left at www.kendallfuneralservice.com.
