Thomas Kraisinger Obituary

Thomas E. Kraisinger, age 83 of Boscobel, passed away doing what he loved to do on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was born on August 3, 1941 in Aurora, IL, son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Schwerer) Kraisinger. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army as a MP, in fact he was a MP during the 1964 New York World’s Fair.  Tom had a great passion for music, food, and farming. Some of his favorite times were spent going out to eat and listening to music. In addition to being a farmer, Tom worked as a butcher, he was a skilled mason and enjoyed working with his hands. His skills also translated into the kitchen, and he was known in the family as an excellent cook. He will be remembered fondly by his family for always having a smile on his face, loving to tell old stories, and his jovial laugh.

Tom is survived by the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Linda Kraisinger of Monroe; his children, Stacey (Mike) Whalen of Darlington, Ed (Lorilee) Kraisinger of Highland, and Kathy (Todd) Ludlum of Algonquin, IL; grandchildren Delaney Whalen, Ava Whalen, Macey Kraisinger, Abbey Kraisinger, Wes Kraisinger, Aiden Ludlum, Evan Ludlum, and Ben Ludlum; siblings Don Kraisinger, Kathy (Mark) Bartel, and Mary (Doug) Koehler; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
