Violet R. Workman, age 83 of Boscobel, affectionately known by many as Grandma Mookie, went home to God on Wednesday August 26, 2020 surrounded by her family after a hard fought battle with cancer at Gundersen Health Care in Boscobel. She was born June 17, 1937 in Marion Twp. Grant County Wisconsin. The daughter of Leroy and Viola (Schuppner) Miller. She loved and enjoyed many things in life, being with family and friends, flowers, gardening and canning, embroidery work and a belief in God that she passed onto her children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed time spent with her women’s bible study group and preparing for the annual Christian Women’s Banquet. Violet worked several years as a CNA at Boscobel Area Hospital and Nursing Home. She enjoyed caring for the residents and also breakfast get togethers after a long night of work with her co workers. She welcomed all into her home and loved them like her own. Becoming a surrogate grandmother to many. She is survived by four daughters; Patricia Knapton of Boscobel, Angela Knapton of Boscobel, Brenda (Jesse) Kreul of Fennimore, Virginia (Preston) Reynolds of Fennomore. Three beautiful Grandchildren; Nicholas, Alexander and Payton. A Sister Evelyn Fay of Mosinee Wi.. Brother in Law; Walter Kubly of Sun Prairie. A Very Special Great Niece Maya Nair of Muskego. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, an infant sister, her older sister, Naomi Kubly and a brother in law, Richard Fay.
Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 31, 2020 at the Kendall Funeral Home in Boscobel. Pastor Rich McLeer officiating. Burial in the Boscobel Cemetery.
